Today I don't have much to say!

Finding old friends.

You go on face book and connect with old friends and you sometimes want your friendships to be as strong as they used to but they can't. You are not a teenager anymore. I feel like I'm afraid to talk about high school to much because someone might think I'm stuck in the past. Which I'll admit part of me still is. The part that felt more loved and more cared about. The part that only really had her music to hang on to. The part that loved to sing. The part that was in love.

Help

God send me someone I can talk to who is going through the same things I am. Someone I can keep it real with without them judging me. Someone to say no, and not feel that they have to agree with me.

Life is Short Buy the Shoes!

Well in my case it would be buy the Coach bag. Not telling anyone to go outside their means, but
some times you just got to do it. Get that something that makes you feel good, every now and then. Love yourself and show yourself some love.

I suppose no one is reading my blog, but it's cool. Writing here has been very therapeutic. I type what I feel. Right now I'm tired and I want to go home which I will do in a few minutes. I think I will go home and take a picture of my latest scrapbooking page and try to post it on my blog and my facebook page.

You know how something seems so easy to you and so hard for another person? For example some people can't imagine knitting or quilting, whereas I find it quite easy. Taking classes is so very hard for me, it seems I have to put in triple the time of an average student. I know I'm much older now but even when I was in high school it was the same.

I say all this to say what? I'm in school to try to increase my knowledge and hopefully to get a better life. So if I have to study three times as hard, instead of feeling sorry for myself and wishing everything would just stick in my head, I have to work harder.

I have to remember that nothing worth while comes without hard work and sacrifice.

Focus

I'm having a hard time staying focused. I have the attention span of a gnat. I have got to focus on one thing at a time.

I have no choice but to make it.

Have you thought to yourself, this is hard, I don't know if I can do it, or I don't know if I can make it? That's where I am today. Ok I'll say it, I'm afraid. Yes I know fear is not of God. Even though I'm afraid, I know in my heart that I have to make it. I have no choice but to make it.
"Father please help me once again to make it through, please help me to remember that if You are for me, nothing can stop me. Bless everyone who reads this, help them to make it. Lord you brought me to this and I know you'll see me through. In the name of Jesus I Pray, Amen"

I can do all things through Christ. Yes I can, and you can too. Dare to dream again. What is it that you wanted to do? It's not to late. I challenge you to dream again and then turn it into reality. Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My!

Scrapbooking, knitting and a class oh my! I am back in school taking a Web Technology class, hopefully this will help me build webpages and better blogs. I forgot how demanding school could be. Well here it goes, I'm gonna dive right in and do my best. I plan to take another class in January. In order to accomplish all my task I will have to rely heavily on proper time management. I will have to use my daytimer to schedule my time during the week to make sure everything gets done. Wish me luck.

Monday Monday

I did not have a very productive day. I have to focus on my work. All I really wanted to do was scrapbook. I was able to participate in a Creative Memories confernce call today. WOW I am so enjoying all the different ways that CM is trying to help me make more money. If I make more money, they make more money.

Scrapbooking Sunday

I went out to Panera to have some peace and do some scrapbooking. Always good to get away. Wanted to do some more traditional scrapbooking but I don't have the space right now.

Scrap Happy Day

I had fun sprapbooking today. I started on an album for a family member for Christmas. I want to crop somemore. I may take Pinky (my laptop ) and go to Panera Breads tomorrow and do some digital scrapbooking. I start a class on Web technology on Monday. I also have to schedule time to finish a couple of quilts.

Waiting

Some of us are waiting for the harvest, but we never planted anything. Plant some seeds today.

What does not kill us will make us stronger.

Sometimes things get really hard, but everything happens for a reason. It's important to try not to get bent out of shape because something didn't happen the way you think it should. The next time you are disappointed hang on, something good is on the way.

What's going on today.

This morning on the train I continued to read my new book about blogging by Tara Frey. I have the attention span of a gnat, which is why I do so many crafts. I am half way through the book and it is a very good source for new bloggers. Most books do not hold my attention for long so if I am half way through it's pretty good. I can't wait to see my page evolve. Yes I will be sprucing up this blog of mine.

Today I will be going to lunch with my Japanese friend Nobu. He has been on my jobsite for a year now writing a paper. He is a college professor in his country. He has showered me with pieces of Japanese candy and small gifts all year and now he is leaving. He was very greatful when I helped him get his Washington D.C. drivers lisence. He has invited me to visit his country one day. He plans to return here next summer, it would be ideal if I could go back and visit with him next summer. Or perhaps we can visit New Orleans next summer. We both love jazz and New Orleans.

Scrapbooking Weekend

As I said before I am a Hotel person (ok Ho). Right now I am planning a weekend scrapbooking retreat in Bethany Beach Delaware. The weekend of November 13th. I hope some of my fellow scrappers and friends will join me. The cost will be $220 which will include, breakfast and two lunches, one Saturday and Sunday. It will also include an 8 foot table for each scrapper, water and snacks throughout the weekend. It will also include a goodie bag, and prizes.

I pray that there will be a good response. I had a wonderful time when I went in March. There is a Walgreens next to the hotel and the beach is 2 blocks away.
We will start scrapping at 3pm on Friday through 2pm on Sunday. You may leave your things at your table each night if you want. But of course I can not be responsible in case of rare theft.

What I am doing now.

I am reading a book that I saw my friend Joy had so I bought one. I am enjoying it alot. The book is called Blogging for Bliss Crafting your own Online Journal. I decided to try blogging again and perhaps I can make new friends.

I sing, crochet, knit, quilt, make jewelry, scrapbook, and floral arrange. I am a arts and crafts junky. Right now I mostly scrapbook. I am a Creative Memories Consultant.

I am also a Hotel Ho! I love to go away and stay in nice hotels.
